Practice Area & New Registrations

Practice Boundaries

We usually accept patients whose postcodes begin with M7, M8 and parts of M25 and may be unable to accept new patients outside these boundaries. However, existing patients who relocate to M3, M6, M9 or M45 postcodes may be able to remain registered with us, should they wish.

The practice boundaries are roughly Bury New Road and Lower Broughton Road to the West; Broughton Lane, Waterloo Road and Queens Road to the South; Smedley Lane and Waterloo Street to the East; and Blackley New Road, Sheepfoot Lane and Scholes Lane to the North.

New Patients

New patients can register on Monday - Friday between 1:00pm and 5:00pm by requesting forms from the reception staff. You will be given a medical questionnaire to complete on which you can state the doctor whom you would prefer to see. You will then be registered with the practice. You may also ask for forms to register to use the patient online access services. For an urgent appointment, it may not be possible to see the doctor of your choice.

All new patients (even children) are required to have a health check with the practice nurse. It can take several months to obtain your health records from your previous doctor, and it is important for us to document your previous medical history and note any medication that you may currently be taking.

You may wish to know that you can register as an organ donor at this practice when you first register, or at any time by phoning 0845 60 60 400.
