Dr Deborah Gail Larah
(MB. ChB. VUManc. 1980)

Dr Deborah Larah originally joined her parents' family medical practice after qualifying as a doctor from The University of Manchester in 1980 and, following their retirement, became the senior managing partner in 1990. She has a firm belief that patient care at Newbury Green Medical Practice upholds her parents' traditional maxim that patient's needs will always come first.


Dr Laurence Bacall
(MB. ChB. VUManc. 1985 DRCOG. MRCGP.)

Dr Laurence Bacall is from London and graduated from Manchester University in 1985. He became a partner in the practice in 1993 and his clinical interests include joint and skin problems. Outside surgery life, he enjoys swimming, gardening and walking.


Dr Simon Gordon Joseph
(MB. ChB. VUManc. 1991 DRCOG. MRCGP.)

Dr Joseph profile image
Dr Simon Joseph is originally from Birmingham but studied medicine at the University of Manchester. After qualifying as a GP in 1995, he worked as a locum for several years in both Manchester and London before becoming a partner in the practice in 2001.


Dr Tanya Beaumont

Dr Tanya Beaumont was born in Leeds but brought up in Oxford and she carried out her studies at the University of St Andrews and Manchester. After starting to work with the practice in 2010, she became a GP partner in 2012 and currently acts as the practice lead in developing and training of young doctors for the future.


Dr Alison St Rose
(MB. ChB. Dundee. 1988 DCH)

Dr Alison St Rose is orginally from Leeds but spent her formative years in St Lucia in the West Indies before returning to attend Dundee Unversity Medical School. She graduated in 1988 and then followed the training route for General Practice. On completion, she was a locum GP then GP partner and has enjoyed the wide range experience this field allows.


Dr Golam Chowdhury
(MBBS 2003 MRCGP 2014)

Dr Chowdhury profile image
Dr Golam Chowdhury qualified as a doctor in 2003 and has been a GP since 2014, joining the practice in December 2015 and becoming a partner in February 2017. He has a keen interest in mental illness and issues surrounding drug dependence. Other than being a doctor, Dr Chowdhury also enjoys photography and playing squash.
